Ktima Gerovasiliou Lefko is considered by many to be the top Greek white wine. Whether one agrees or not, one cannot but admit that this is a top white wine that has created its own 'school', as well as a large and loyal fan club.
It is impressively well made and well structured. It is a choice that is discussed in the company and decorates every table.
It was created by the successful marriage of two Greek varieties, Assyrtikos and the rare Malagouzia.
After pre-fermentative extraction, vinification takes place in the stainless steel refrigerated tanks at a temperature of around 18-20 °C. The wine has a bright pale yellow color with greenish highlights.
Its "nose" is expressive with alternating impressions, as notes of pepper, jasmine, orange, melon, herbs and lemon pass next to exotic fruits.
The first contact in the mouth exudes gentleness, while the overall presence is characterized by richness, harmony, pleasant vivacity and a lemony finish. Recommended consumption in the first 2 years of its life, served at 8-10 °C.
Flavor combinations: seafood, fish, white meat with simple sauces, pasta, country salad (tomato & feta cheese), Asian cuisine.
