Samos Nectar is one of the best wines in the world from overripe, sun-dried grapes aged for 6 years in oak barrels.
Its color is deep amber, with beautiful orange highlights. On the nose, aromas of raisins, dried fruits, honey and nuts prevail. Good acidity, long aftertaste with hints of smoke. It meanders between the aromas of raisins, plums and roasted cinnamon, while the taste presents elements of butterscotch, raisin, walnut, ripe orange and even cloves, mixed with sweetness and "dressed" with a surprising metallicity that gives a whole new dimension to sweet sundaes wines.
In the mouth it has a surprising freshness, which can ensure it a leading role at the table. At the right temperature (12-14 C), Samos Nectar takes control of the palate and sends it on a journey between intense aromas but also full and ripe sweetness.
It composes a harmonious and strong ensemble that can comfortably accompany exuberant sweet and sour foods (e.g. wild boar with quince, duck with orange, etc.), "strong" sweets such as baklava and walnut pie, chocolate and caramel desserts or with roasted nuts. It is also combined with intense cheeses such as stilton (blue and white), matured cephalogravies and various smoked cheeses.
