🌯 Tortilla Stuffed with Cheddar & Ground Beef

Ready to bake – full of aroma, texture and comforting flavor reminiscent of… Mexico with a Greek heart

✨ Description

Our stuffed tortilla is a handmade, “street food” dish that marries the everyday with the gourmet. Made from fresh wheat tortillas , rolled and filled with a rich, warm and filling combination:

  • 🐄 Ground beef , sautéed with olive oil, tomato, onion and light spices

  • 🧀 Cheddar – melted, rich, with a salty and slightly earthy flavor that melts into the filling

  • 🌿 Optional herbs like oregano, paprika or cumin for a Mediterranean-tex mex balance

Wrapped and lightly breaded or sprinkled with semolina or cornmeal for extra crunchiness when baking.

The result is crispy on the outside, soft and “rich” on the inside , with absolute comfort and at the same time a modern character. Ideal for:

  • Quick lunch

  • Dish at dinner with friends

  • Street food presentation

  • Individual meal that becomes a "delight" with a simple baking

🔥 Baking Method

Oven-ready – bakes as is, without unwrapping or preparation

Oven (ideal):

  1. Preheat to 180–190°C

  2. Place the tortilla on parchment paper or a non-stick baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes , until golden brown on the outside and the cheese is melted on the inside.

  4. For the last 3–5 minutes, you can increase the temperature to 200–210°C for a crispy surface.

  5. Let it sit for 5 minutes before cutting or serving.

Alternatively:

  • In a toaster with a lid or in a panini press

  • In a non-stick pan with a lid (softer result)


❄️ Maintenance Method

  • Fresh – ready to bake (vacuum or skin pack):
    • Refrigerator (0–4°C): up to 2 days
    • Freezing (−18°C): up to 3–4 months

  • After baking:
    • In the refrigerator for up to 2 days , ideally reheated in the oven or in a toaster

Thaw (if frozen): in the refrigerator for 8–12 hours before baking
