Organic Pindos Chicken Organic chickens come from traditional local breeds (red feathers). They are raised with 100% organic feed in poultry farms that have access to outdoor space and at an altitude of 600m. The density is 10 birds/sq.m. and the number reaches max 4800 birds per aviary. They are slaughtered on the 81st day after birth. Their rearing process is in accordance with Regulation (EEC) 2092/91, and has been certified by the organic products control and certification organization "Geotechniko laboratory S.A.". The process of slaughtering and standardization of the products is in accordance with Regulations (E.O.K.) 852/2004, 853/2004, 854/2004, 178/2002 and Directive 2000/13/EC. The management and safety system ISO-22000 is also applied at all stages of production.
