Most of us don't buy the amount of meat we want to cook each time, but almost always buy more, with the intention of saving it for the next time we cook meat again. How many of you don't buy ground beef, make the burgers and store them in the freezer? Or any other kind of meat? However, a mistake when storing it in the freezer can have negative consequences.
But let's see how to save it to avoid these consequences:
The first and most important consideration when storing meat in the freezer is how it will be stored to minimize exposure to the air and moisture of the freezer.
LARGE PIECES OF MEAT : Wrap them in transparent film and then place them in a food bag.
BURGERS : After we have prepared our burgers, we wrap them one by one in film and place them in a food bag. Another alternative is to wrap them individually in aluminum foil.
MINCED : After dividing the minced meat into portions for about 4 people, wrap each portion with cling film, pressing it to become flat. Then we wrap it in aluminum foil and place it in the freezer.
STEAKS / CHILDREN : Without washing them, we wrap them one by one with aluminum foil on the bone, so that the film or the bag we will store them in does not tear, as a result of which the meat spoils. Then, we wrap them one by one again in transparent film or place them in food bags.
PORTIONS : With a knife, remove membranes, ribs and unnecessary visible fat from the portions, wrap each one in film and then in aluminum foil and store them in the freezer. Thus, we can defrost exactly as many portions as we need.
