The baking plates are entirely made of Himalayan mineral salt and will offer you an unprecedented taste and healthy cooking experience! Impress your guests and family by cooking and serving your food on these plates!

The plates can be used as plates, platters, cutting surfaces, cooling plates, etc. Their use in cooking is a new way of cooking used by great chefs, to offer their customers a unique taste experience as well as a special aesthetic effect on the table!

When it comes to heating and cleaning, salt slabs need care especially in the beginning. The first few times you use them you should be careful. In the first uses, cracks and fissures will appear and their original pink color may change to a whiter one. It is normal and should not worry you, with uses and washings you may find that they regain some of their original color.

To bake on the salt slabs, they should be at least 0.5cm thick. Put the plate on the gas burner, inside your oven or BBQ (charcoal / gas / electric), pour on it, the spices of your choice, WITHOUT adding salt and cook everything such as meat, seafood, fish, vegetables, eggs Ms.

If you want them to be less salty, all you have to do is coat the plate and the food with oil and let them cook!

WARM UP:
Due to the fact that the plate is mineral, it should be heated and cooled gradually.

1. For gas cookers
Place the plate on the hob. Set the temperature to low and let it heat for 15 minutes. You may notice moisture collecting at the edges which will evaporate as the plate heats up. The slower you do it the better!

2. For electric cookers
In electric cookers, there is less moisture and a more even distribution of heat. If you are heating on the stove, use a pastry case or a wok stand or some metal object to raise the plate slightly above the stove. Set the temperature to low and let it heat for 10 minutes. Then continue with the desired temperature. Due to the fact that the plate is mineral, it should be heated and cooled gradually.

3. For BBQ (Liquid Gas / Coal / Electric)
Place the plate on the grill of your bbq. Set the temperature to step 1. After 10 minutes raise the temperature to step 3 to allow the plate to adjust to the temperature change.

Cleaning and Maintenance:
Allow the plate to cool completely. Rinse with lukewarm water and a sponge. Scrub vigorously areas where food residue (grease) may have stuck or crystallized. Dry it evenly with a soft cloth or paper. Let it air dry naturally and store it in a moisture-free place!

CAUTION!
DO NOT SOAK THE PLATE AND DO NOT USE DETERGENT!

How salty will the food be?
The amount of salt that enters the food depends on how much liquid is in the food, on its fat content, on how hot the salt plate is, but also on how long you will cook it on it.
To make them less salty, brush the plate with pure olive oil (of good quality) to create a natural film and after it burns, brush it again with olive oil, and put on it what you have chosen to cook! If you want to reduce the salt even more, drizzle your food with olive oil.
