Pork Fat is the “secret ingredient” that gives full flavor, juiciness and the right texture to many preparations. It has long been used to “tie” minced meat, make meatballs fluffy, make sausage come out properly, but also to make homemade lard (rendered pork fat) for frying or cooking that requires intensity and aroma.

🔥 How is it used (in practice)
1) In minced meat / burgers / meatballs
• If you have lean minced meat (e.g. from a leg), add 10–20% pork fat for better juiciness.
Example: 1 kilo of minced meat → 100–200g fat (depending on how “juicy” you want it).
2) For sausage
• We usually aim for a mix that comes out 20–30% fat , for the right texture and “bite”.
3) For homemade lard (rendering)
1️⃣ Cut the fat into small pieces.
2️⃣ Put it in a pot on very low heat with 2–3 tbsp. water (so it doesn't stick at first).
3️⃣ Melt slowly until it produces pure fat.
4️⃣ Strain and store in a glass jar.
✅ Ideal for potatoes, frying or "heavy" cooking.
