• the original pink color becomes whiter in spots
With use/washing you may see some of the original color return . This is expected and is not necessarily an indication of a problem.
🔥 How to properly bake on a salt slab
General rule
• Heat and cool gradually .
• Cook WITHOUT adding salt (the plate provides its own saltiness).
• You can add spices of your choice and bake as normal.
How to make food less salty
Brush the plate (and optionally the food ) with a little olive oil to create a natural “film” and reduce salt transfer.
♨️ Warm-up
1) LPG Kitchen
1️⃣ Place the plate on the eye.
2️⃣ Set the temperature to low and leave for 15 minutes .
3️⃣ If you see moisture on the edges, it's normal - it will evaporate as it heats up.
✅ The slower, the better.
2) Electric Stove
1️⃣ Use a pastry mold / wok base / metal base to slightly elevate the plate.
2️⃣ Set on low for 10 minutes .
3️⃣ Then continue at the desired temperature.
✅ Gradually everything – it is a mineral plate.
3) BBQ (Gas / Charcoal / Electric)
1️⃣ Place the plate on the grill.
2️⃣ Temperature on level 1 for 10 minutes .
3️⃣ Climb to ladder 3 to gradually adapt.
🧽 Cleaning & Maintenance
1️⃣ Let the plate cool completely .
2️⃣ Rinse with lukewarm water and a sponge .
3️⃣ Rub more vigorously where residues have stuck/crystallized (e.g. grease).
4️⃣ Dry evenly with a soft cloth or paper.
5️⃣ Let it air dry naturally and store in a moisture-free place.
❗ Attention
• DO NOT soak the plate
• DO NOT use detergent/chemical cleaners
❓ How “salty” will the food turn out?
The saltiness that "passes through" depends on:
• the liquids of the food
• fat
• how hot the plate is
• how long the food stays on it
How do I check it?
• If you want a milder result: olive oil on the plate (and optionally on the food) before baking.
