Sumac or sumac comes from a shrub that thrives in temperate climates. You will find sumac mainly in powder form with a dark crimson color. Its taste is special, quite acidic and reminiscent of lemon. That's why we recommend using it sparingly.
How to use it:
- In hummus, falafel, but also as a topping in our own traditional tzatziki
- In your own zaatar mix
- The marinades
- Burgers and meatballs
- In salads to give acidity
- In almost all meats
