A guide for new bakers

Summer, terrace and grilled steaks. Nothing better; If you're looking to impress friends and family with a perfectly cooked steak, then you've come to the right place. By following a few simple steps and tips, you will become a baking master.

  1. Choice of meat

Before we get to grilling, we need to choose the right steak. At siakos.gr, you will find a wide variety of quality pieces. For starters, we recommend the beef ribeye or pork chop. Both have enough fat to stay juicy when baking.

  1. Preparation

Preparation is the secret. Remove the steak from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before grilling to allow it to come to room temperature. This helps in even baking. Season generously with salt and pepper and if you like add a little olive oil.

  1. The right grill

Grill temperature is very important. Heat your grill to high. If using charcoal, make sure the coals are hot and have a nice layer underneath. For the perfect steak, we need a high temperature to create a nice crust.

  1. Time and patience

Place the steak on the grill and cook without moving for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare. Remember, we don't turn the steak all the time. We want to create this wonderful crust.

  1. Internal temperature

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steak. For medium-rare steak, the temperature should be around 60°C. If you prefer it more well-cooked, leave it a little longer.

  1. Rest time

Don't rush to cut the steak as soon as it comes off the grill. Let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to be distributed evenly and the steak to remain juicy.

Now that you have all the tips, what are you waiting for? Fire up the grill and invite your friends over. Bon appetit and happy baking!
